Biographical / Historical

Roberta Shepard Bruns was a student at the Jackson College for Women, Tufts College from 1948 to 1952. During her time at Tufts, she was a sister of Alpha Omicron Pi. She was also a member of the modern dance group and the Jackson archery team.

Roberta Shepard married classmate Alan Bruns, whom she met during freshmen orientation at their advisor's meeting. In 2002 the Bruns served as co-chairs of their 50th reunion. They participate in the Centennial Class Coordinating Committee (C4), which plans reunions, publishes a bi-annual newsletter for their class, and meets back at campus twice a year. In 1997 the committee established the centennial scholarship for exceptional students.
