Scope and Contents

This collection contains the papers of Dr. Hagop Deranian, an Armenian-American dentist and historian. The bulk of the collection contains research and notes about the history of dentistry. Other items of note are correspondence related to the establishment of the Deranian Dental Museum, copies of books written and published by Deranian, and a documentary about the history of dentistry that features Dr. Deranian.

Biographical / Historical

Hagop Martin Deranian was born to Armenian parents in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1922. Deranian graduated from Clark University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He taught at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
