Abstract:
Dr. Sooren Simon Alexander (1897-1978) was born in Armenia. In 1905 his family escaped the Armenian genocide and moved to Massachusetts. Alexander graduated from the Tufts College Dental School in 1921. He practiced dentistry fifty-five years and was a member of the both the American and the Massachusetts Dental Associations, the North East Dental Society and the Worcester District Dental Society.
Dr. Sooren Simon Alexander was born February 25, 1897 in Armenia as Sooren Simon Alexanian. His family escaped the Armenian genocide when he was eight years old and moved to Worcester, Massachusetts. Alexander changed his last name in 1921 when he began practicing dentistry. He died November 28, 1978 in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Alexander graduated from the Tufts College Dental School in 1921. He practiced dentistry fifty-five years and was a member of the both the American and the Massachusetts Dental Associations, the North East Dental Society and the Worcester District Dental Society. He was a member of Athelstan Lodge of Masons, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, A Shriner, and a member of Aletheia Grotto.
Alexander was married to Alice Juskalian and had two daughters, Harriet and Beverly.
