Abstract:
Frederick Theodore Nelson was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on June 20, 1869. He was a member of Delta Upsilon at Tufts and graduated with a bachelor of Arts and Sciences in the class of 1890. He obtained a B. D. from St. Lawrence University in 1895 and then worked as builder, book-keeper, school teacher and clergyman. He held pastorates in Portland and East Ebbington, Maine, as well as Harrisville, Rhode Island and in North Carolina. In later years he served as minister in Danbury, Connecticut and then at the Universalist Church of North Salem where Nelson also worked as teacher and then principal at the North Salem School until his retirement. Nelson died in Westchester County New York, in 1960.
