Abstract:

Students Against Transphobia was an ad hoc student group organized against professors Keith Ablow's televised statement that children could be harmed by seeing a transgendered person on television.

In the fall of 2011, Tufts Medical School professor Keith Ablow made statements on televised media that children could be harmed by watching transgendered celebrity Chaz Bono on the show "Dancing with the Stars." A group of students at Tufts formed the group Students Against Transphobia in protest of these statements.
