Abstract:
The Basic Science Faculty Appointment, Promotion and Tenure Committee of the School of Medicine, is responsible for recommending policy, subject to Trustee approval, for the appointment and promotion of basic science faculty members and for advising the Dean regarding appointments, promotions and tenure.

Appointments or promotions to the ranks of Associate Professor and Professor on both the tenure track and the research track and proposals for granting tenure must be evaluated by the Basic Science Faculty Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure Committee of the School of Medicine.
Dr. Eugene Foster acted as chairperson of this committee.
